Traxxas Portal Complete Kit for TRX-4M (#9843R)

TRX‑4M® portal axles boost off‑road performance by lifting the truck at the axle ends, adding over 10 mm of center ground clearance and widening the track by 9 mm for far more confident 1/18‑scale crawling.

Each kit includes all‑metal portal gears with self‑lubricating bushings for smooth, long‑lasting operation. The axles arrive fully assembled and ready to bolt on, along with updated transmission gears that preserve the vehicle’s stock speed and torque.

For single‑speed transmission setups, use the included red gears for general driving or keep the factory gearing for dedicated crawling. (Note: portal axles are not compatible with 9776R low‑range gears.)

For the optional 2‑speed transmission, install the included blue gears to maintain normal high‑gear speed while keeping proper low‑gear crawling performance.
